"Pycnogenol" was used by Dr. Jacques Masquelier as a generic term, referring to the proanthocyanidins from any source, including from grape seed and Maritime Pine bark. Most of his studies were actually done with the grape seed extract. We do not use the name "pycnogenol" on our antioxidant formulation because it is a registered trademark of another company. Our Vital Super Antioxidants contain both grape seed and pine bark. (See answer to "What is proanthocyanidins?").
