How much of your practice actually includes nutrition related services? I have almost a total nutrition practice. About 10% of my patients are there for basically spinal care only. That sparks my interest. How did this occur? Now, I did not start off that way. There was a definite, methodical, deliberately planned transition into nutrition. I needed to find exact ways to get my patients very healthy, and I knew I must solve this puzzle. How can I fully service my patients true needs, including structure and biochemistry? This was my challenge, to get this one solved! I knew many doctors, including myself, who, if they could, would jump at the opportunity to be the full capacity "Doctor of the Future." Can you tell us more about successful transitioning? I agree, an awful lot of doctors do aspire to the "Doctor of the Future" philosophy. In fact, I would say, this famous "saying" by Thomas Edison, appears in more waiting rooms and on more business cards than any other single quote! I think, one of the things I found out in talking to doctors in the field who want to go more into nutrition — is that there is a fear of exactly this: they are making a comfortable living with spinal care, and how can they match this by doing nutritional counseling.
